今年是“两山”（绿水青山就是金山银山）理念提出20周年，也是全面推进美丽中国建设的关键之年。
在建设美丽中国江苏实践中，泰州市高度重视生态文明建设，将志愿服务与生态环境保护重点工作紧密结合起来，鼓励动员社会各界共同参与生态环境保护，发展培育了一批专业化生态环境志愿服务组织，志愿服务内容逐步丰富，参与人次与服务时长逐年上升，社会影响力不断增强，共建生态文明的氛围日益浓厚。
近年来，泰州市生态环境局组织党员志愿服务队、驻泰高校生态环境志愿宣讲团、赤子之心环境文化交流中心（环保公益组织）、家有儿女、小蝌蚪等志愿服务组织开展了系列志愿服务活动。

现在，泰州市生态环境局向全市市民发出邀请，无论您是土生土长的泰州人还是在泰求学求职的新泰州人，都诚挚欢迎您加入我们的志愿服务队伍，为美丽泰州贡献力量。
我们将在平台定期发布志愿服务任务，由注册志愿者认领和完成，平台还特别设置了指导老师专区，欢迎在泰高校老师们积极参与。每年末对服务次数满5次或累积时长在10小时以上的志愿者和指导老师颁发证书，并评选优秀服务项目。
