孙星在致辞中表示，能源与地球环境密不可分，目前复杂的国际形势进一步凸显了清洁能源的重要性。举办本次大会，旨在汇聚行业力量，探索清洁能源科学利用的新技术，激发清洁能源快速发展的新动能，创新清洁能源供给链条的新路径，打通清洁能源国际合作的新通道。全面推进我国能源产业登上新台阶，促进我国经济建设和社会更加稳定、持续、协调发展。

国家有关部委、天津市人民政府相关部门、发改委、工信局、商务局及其他省市有关领导、国内外专家学者和知名企业代表、研究机构、行业组织代表参加了本次开幕式。来自清洁能源、输配电装备等领域的350余家企业参会参展，展览展示面积2万平米，开展首日专业观众达 8000余人次。
